Remember that Show: 3/14/06

Ah, after a nice week off we return to our scheduled programming. I hope everyone had fun over the weekend at the parade and other festivities and I know you plan to do it again this Friday so Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Well as I was thinking of what show to write about I thought of one that was, when it first premiered, was one of the best and funniest shows around and it was on FOX.

So sit back relax and enjoy this weeks “Remember that Show: Parker Lewis Can’t Lose”

Yes on of the earlier shows on the still new FOX network which was grouped with “In Living Color.”

It ran from 1990-1993 for three seasons and brought catch phrases like “coolness,” “we have achieved coolness,” “Eat now,” and “synchronize Swatches.”

The show was based heavily on “Ferris Buellers Day Off” so many people didn’t think it would last long because the TV version of the movie only lasted 3 weeks. But Parker Lewis was different and very funny.

Parker’s best friends were Jerry, the nerd, and Mikey the James Dean-like rebel with out a cause.

The most memorable character was Kubiak a.k.a. “KUBE” the school bully who actually becomes friends with Parker and the gang.

The stories usually revolved around life and Parker’s nemesis Ms. Musso the Principal at the school and her assistant Frank Lemmer who always dressed in black and was kinda goth-ish.

Luckily this is out on DVD and is a must watch show, so pick up a copy and enjoy some swatch fun.

That’s it for this week, until next.

Later Days!
